Terms and Conditions
I like to keep a human face on my business and I like to think I am both reasonable and flexible.
However I appreciate that, in order to avoid any misunderstandings, I need this list of rules!

Placing an Order
1 These terms and conditions shall apply to all contracts with Flitterbat.
2 Flitterbat is the trading name of Fiona Atack Abbott.
3 All discussions re the order must be confirmed in writing, either e-mail or letter.
4 Payment of a deposit shall be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions and constitutes an 'order'.
5 A deposit will be required before I begin work. Usually a third to half of the finished cost, depending on the item ordered. Cash, cheque or credit/debit cards accepted.
6 Final payment must be made before any garment is despatched, or at the time of collection.
7 Bespoke garments will require fittings. How many will depend on the garment. Please allow time for this when ordering. I cannot guarantee the fit of a bespoke costume if you are unable to attend fittings.

What if I change my mind?
Orders
1 You can cancel an 'Off-the-Peg' order up to 7 days from the date of the original order, in which case your full payment will be refunded.
2 You can cancel a 'Bespoke' or 'Made to Measure' order up to 7 days from the date of the original order, in which case your full deposit will be refunded unless:-
  - Fabrics or other items have already been specially purchased;
  - Work of any kind has already commenced;
  - Time has been spent on specialist research;
  In all these instances I reserve the right to implement a charge which will be deducted from the returned deposit.
3 Alterations to a 'Bespoke' or 'Made to Measure' order once in production are sometimes possible but this may incur extra costs.

Returns
1 'Off-the-peg' garments can be returned for a full refund provided they are returned, with all original tags attached, within 14 days of your receiving the item.
2 Bespoke items cannot be returned unless deemed faulty, or not 'as ordered'.
3 The original postage and packing charge is not refundable unless garments are deemed faulty or not fit for purpose.
4 At present all orders are posted using 'Special Delivery' by the Royal Mail. This cost is not included in the price of the garment and is usually quoted separately as it can vary depending on the destination.

The above conditions do not affect your statutory rights and are in line with and in some cases exceed the Distance Selling Regulations.

And finally...
I want you to be completely happy with your outfits. If you have any doubts or queries about your items, or you are not happy, please contact me. I can't correct things if I don't know you are not happy!!

Oh and finally, finally................
I do not and will not share any information WHATSOEVER about you with any third party.
