Many of our items of period clothing depend upon a good fit to acheive a good appearance, so please be careful about providing accurate measurements when you order. If in doubt, ask us.
Bust - Measure across the fullest part and the shoulder blades.
Waist - Measure around the natural waistline
Hips - Mesasure at the widest part.
Inside Leg - Measure from the top of the inside leg at the crutch, to the hem.
Collar - Measure around the neck at its base where a shirt fits.
Chest - Measure the chest around the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms, making sure the tape is well up at the back over the shoulder blades.
Waist - Measure around the natural waistline over any under garments which may be worn.
Inside Leg - Measure from the top of the inside leg at the crutch, to the hem.
Outside Leg - Measure from the natural waistline to the hem.
Sleeve - This is taken from the neck point (the collar seam on the shoulder line), along the shoulder and down the outer sleeve to the cut edge.
Centre back length - this measurement is taken from the centre of the neck at the collar seam to the natural waistline.
